Country Partners was first established as a personal introduction agency by Heather Heber Percy in 1983, in rural Shropshire. Heather and her friend met as mums at the school gate and talked about how difficult it can be for single people living in their rural area, to find a new partner.
They decided to offer a dating service to meet this need. Seeing that there were indeed lots of people wanting the service, Country Partners has since become nationwide.
Since the founding of Country Partners in the 1980s, Heather Heber Percy has become a very well-known figure in dating and a passionate advocate of Dating Safety. Whilst she still maintains an interest in Country Partners, we have continued to run the dating agency on the values she found that her customers wanted, good personal service, along with honesty and transparency in dating.
Dating has changed since the 1980s with the introduction of online dating and more recently, dating apps. However, many of our clients are looking for a better alternative – the safe and personal dating service that we provide.
What We Do
Getting to know all our clients starts when we first speak with you and will progress to a personal, in-depth interview once you have decided that you would like to become a member.
Our client interviews are typically held face to face or over a video call at a time that works for you. We will want to know all about you as well as hearing about the sort of person you are hoping to meet. We also ask all members for photo ID and run background checks so that you, as our client, can be confident that anyone we are recommending to you, really is who they say they are. This system provides a far safer, more private and more personal dating service than what you will find using the typical online dating websites or dating apps.
The Matchmaking Process
When you contact us, we connect you with one of our experienced and friendly Membership Advisers. Our Advisers are happy to discuss all aspects of our service and answer any questions that you might have as to how this might work for you. You are not under any pressure to become a member, and there is no cost to find out more.
If you do decide you what to become a member, your Adviser will organise your profiling interview to get things started. Following your consultation, we will send you your professionally produced dating profile and ensure you are happy with it before we start your matchmaking. Your matchmaker will then begin the exciting work of identifying other members to recommend to you, sending you their profiles on a one at a time basis, for your consideration.
We will be considering not just what you have asked for in a partner but also what other members tell us they are seeking. Many factors get considered when putting forward prospective matches such as hobbies and interests and background.
