The Scottish Highlands are a mountainous region in the Northwest of the Scottish mainland, centring on Loch Ness and its legendary monster. On the eastern side of the Highlands, near to the city of Inverness Dolphins can be seen swimming in the Moray Firth and in the west the majestic peak of Ben Nevis can be seen, the UK’s highest mountain.
