Perthshire is a historic county and registration district in Central Scotland. Geographically it borders the counties of Inverness-shire and Aberdeenshire in the north, Angus to the east, Argyllshire to the west and Fife, Kinross-shire, Clackmannanshire, Stirlingshire and Dunbartonshire to the south.
The county of Perthshire is known as the ‘Big County’ or ‘The Shire’ due to its size and shape, it is the fourth largest county in Scotland.
