Dating in Scotland – Greater Glasgow and the Clyde Valley
Greater Glasgow and the Clyde Valley, is one of the 12 official regions of Scotland and is largely urbanised. It covers 8 of the 32 Scottish council areas: East Dunbartonshire, East Renfrewshire, Glasgow City, Inverclyde, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, South Lanarkshire and West Dunbartonshire. The region was previously known as Strathclyde between 1974 and 1996.
It is the largest region of Scotland in terms of population at 1,200,000, more than a quarter of Scotland’s population and obviously a very important part of the country. Glasgow is actually the UK’s fifth biggest city and is one of the reasons we chose to have a Glasgow regional office in Bath Street and in doing so recognising Scotland’s importance to us.
The density of population is much lower in Scotland, which makes dating and finding new partners much harder than on average, which is why Country Partners initially chose to concentrate on Scotland and the north of England. We are proud to be Scotland’s only national dating agency.
What We Do
Country Partners provides a traditional, face to face dating and personal matchmaking service to the people of Greater Glasgow and right across the Clyde Valley. More and more people have defected away from online dating and using smartphone dating apps in recent years. They have usually become concerned at the burgeoning crime rate associated with online dating and dating apps, have been targeted by scammers or someone who is not genuine or have had a bad experience on a date when meeting someone, so much so that over 95% of our telephone enquiries start their conversation with “I have tried online dating, but it’s not for me because……”.
We are pleased to say that working with a personal matchmaker is much safer, as we personally interview and then carefully vet every single new joiner, to try to achieve 4 things:
- That they are who they say they are as we insist on seeing photographic ID.
- They are genuinely single and do live at the address they have provided.
- They are free from any involvement in crime.
- They are solvent and don’t have bankruptcies or outstanding CCJ’s lurking in the background.
So, our database is clean and is the largest in the UK, of personally interviewed and carefully vetted partners. Which is something that we are incredibly proud of.
The Matchmaking Process
We have a large and experienced matchmaking team, all of whom have been through our 22 module matchmaking academy and they are usually extremely focused on getting a result for each client. On average we change more than 50 lives each and every week through successful matchmaking
